Wise formerly TransferWise International Money Transfer to Canada

Just wanted to put up a post to let people know that if they are thinking about or just about to make a GBP to CAD money transfer with Wise I have an outstanding payment over 2 weeks old now and it might be worth you reconsidering how you do that!

Lots of calls to their customer service has provided nothing helpful to understand the situation and I made a formal complaint to them last week.

They say that they have a "technical issue" with Interac, the Canadian company responsible for ALL electronic money transfers within Canada. Many attempts to get them to expand on this hasn't proved successful, hence the complaint.

I can't take this to the Financial Ombudsman in the UK yet as they get 15 calendar days to make a formal response to my complaint. So it seems I'm unable to get my money to the recipient or get a refund as it's stuck in limbo.

I've used Wise for years to send money to our daughter in Canada and it's always gone through INSTANTLY but there's something that's preventing this from being done in a timely manner - I'm apparently only one of many with this issue.

So if you're looking to do this right now I wanted to post a word of warning.
