Looking for the new topic button

I’ve looked all over the category home pages e.g. energy, green money saving etc, and can’t find a new topic button anywhere, using an iPad. 

I can see one on the homepage of the forum, which you then have to choose a category on a not very nicely rendered drop down list box. 

Would be good if there was a clear button near the top of the list of topics and/or near the bottom of the list of topics like on other forums. 

Would be better for accessibility / usability and perhaps people would start a new post rather than put something unrelated in an existing topic if they could easily find the button to do so.

oh and yes, I did eventually spot the floating plus button in the bottom right corner. I’m not sure if it failed to appear on the first few times I viewed the category pages or perhaps it was outside of my visual range as I was scanning the webpage at the top of the screen, scrolling down and still looking at the top of the screen,

a plus symbol might be obvious once you know what it is and where it is, but perhaps not immediately obvious.

Do you see a red circle with a plus + sign inside? (I don't use an iPad).
That's the new thread/new poll button. 
So go to the right board and start your new thread.

I want to ask a question about buying a mobile phone but I don't seem to be able or don't know how to ask a new question.  It used to be the place to click on to ask a new question.  It is some time since I used this forum and it seems to have changed.  Can someone help me.  Sorry for intruding on this post. What device are you using?

MSE App on mobile? Something else?

Are you on mobile?

If so,the "New Thread" button becomes a + sign bottom right.

If you are on Mobile then it’s the big red plus button in the bottom corner.

Seems I wasn't the only one struggling to find the add topic button!  (As per my topic the other day in this section)

Maybe a floating plus symbol isn't obvious enough!
