USA car hire insurance - ALAMO booked but not sure what it does/n't cover!

We have booked a hire car through Alamo for 16 days in California.  Having selected a few extras we sill are not sure what additional standalone insurance to purchase.  I am pretty sure we need the SLI (Supplementary Liability) but cannot work out if we need anything else.

This is the relevant bit of the Alamo Bill:

Any advice greatly received!

Which website did you book the car through? Was it a UK or US website? If you booked through a UK website you might be OK.

Either way, you should definitely get car hire insurance. If you go to www.moneymaxim.co.uk you can get insurance which includes CDW, SLI, and excess cover which should give you peace of mind.

EP-Extended Protection is effectively Alamo's version of SLI.

Given that EP and CDW are both included you do not need additonal insurance.
If you rent through Alamo both come with zero excess.

If you have Apple maps or Google maps etc. on your phone you can save yourself $200 on the GPS. Most rental cars now either come with GPS built in or you can connect your phone via usb.

Thanks.  We did it through the UK website which is why we aren't entirely certain what is or is not included!  I think we might just get an annual thing from moneymaxim to cover us for this and any European trips in the next 12 months.

    Thanks.
The EP I thought was the same as SLI but it had a load of confusing exclusions (see snapshot).  Also the Collision Damage note says you can pay for it, and we didn't pay, so I fear it's not full/complete CDW.  Something somewhere said they offer more CDW at pickup.  I swear they are just trying to make this more confusing!

On the basis that if we discover we have missed something at pickup it will cost us probably $30 a day from what I've read I think we are going belt and braces and getting an annual policy from MoneyMaxim for far far less that will also cover us when we go somewhere next spring.

Yes re GPS I think we could have avoided but I didn't do the booking and I'm not interfering now!  If there's a built in one I will consider having a row with them when we get there.
