Afternoon. Hope someone can help me out here please. I have recently received a letter from GCTT giving me warning that my case may involve the solicitors. This was a traffic infraction in Italy. They apparently received my information from a company called Nivi.secure in Italy.I'm now being told I have to pay £305.
Has anyone on this forum have any interactions with these people.
Thanks

Not sure it was a good idea to show us your username and password to that suspect website.
You have also given us your vehicle's registration mark, thus easily leading to your name.
A case number and reference number are also shown.
I wonder what anyone could do with all that information?

When making your post did you see this banner across the top of the page...

However, search the forum for GCTT ZZPS.

Laughable drivel. Nobody pays. Who cares if it goes to the usual QDR letter? Nothing happens. Read some threads.

GCTT and ZZPS are one of the same.

    ZZPS ARE DOING A WONGA

AND, if it does progress to the so called legal QDR ..... they are the son of WHOPLA and what a scam that was

Anyone who really wanted to know would need to pay the DVLA a few bob to find that out.
I have no need and as this is a money saving site, I'll not be investing.   :)
But I can say that you have less than three months before the tax needs renewing on your black Mercedes.

More than just pay a few bob, you have to provide proof of ID then make a false statement that either I had been in an accident with your vehicle or the car in question is parked on your property, so not 'easy' and certainly not legal.

Checking date when any car's tax or MOT is due or when the registered keeper was last changed is trivial, you just tap the reg into an online box, but it does not give the keeper's name. There is no easy or legal way for a private individual to get the owner's name.

That elegant Merc isn't mine, it's a random ad on Autotrader. The dealer is as far from me as it is possible to get in the UK.

Only your first point is worthy of comment.

All the parking companies are members of either the BPA's Approved Operator's Scheme or the IPC's Accredited Operator Scheme.
As such they have an agreement with the DVLA - they type the reg. no. into their terminal and the DVLA returns the keepers details by return. £2.50 a throw.

That is what I meant by - thus easily leading to your name.

It's not us who would be looking.

If you were the OP showing too much info, it could be seen by the lurking parking firm or debt collector (they do read MSE threads as we are a threat to the industry).

We've even seen the odd case here where people showed their court claim form with too much info (no name, but a VRM showing plus some refs) and a rogue lurker could tell which person that was and put in a terribly weak defence online.

That is the level of some of the bottom-feeders we deal with on this forum.

Do you really think that scammers are bothered about that?
