Return Apple Watch to currys

Well they all do that, I have an ancient watch 4 and it does, so annoying I turned most of them off.

I think Currys may not accept the refund if it's been opened, are you able to get our back and go though help with Apple to get it set up how you'd like

I'm pretty sure I've never seen a WhatsApp notification on my Apple Watch. Went through the above steps and is set as per the FAQ. 

Just tested it and I get a notification on my iPhone but not on my watch.

You could ask in a less passive aggressive way? 

They said the notifications only come through to your watch when your phone is locked. As I had my phone unlocked whilst I was setting the watch up, nothing came through. I also had my phone unlocked whilst searching for why my watch wasn’t receiving notifications. I turned the watch off in frustration straight after until I called apple

Ah, just what I was about to post but glad you’ve got it resolved. My experience is that notifications don’t come through on the watch when I’m using the phone (as Apple have said) or if the phone is in a different part of the house to me as the distance over which the phone and watch remain in contact seems relatively small.
