Barclays Cashback Rewards, 1% in Sept, Oct and Nov

  • I had an email from Barclays earlier this month saying:-
Give your cashback a boost by earning an extra 1% whenever you spend with your Barclays Visa debit card between 4 September and 30 November 2024 (up to £5 per month). That’s on top of all your usual cashback offers, so you can give your cashback balance a £15 top-up just in time for Christmas shopping.

Well I've spend with my DC this month since 4th September though not yet £500 to qualify for the max £5 but none of my transactions are showing as pending on my cashback reward account.  Some were nearly 2 weeks ago too.  Shouldn't they be showing by now as pending?

    Thank you

Was it an "opt in" promotion, or a "just spend and we'll do the rest" type?

I didn't get any such email from Barclays this year, however, I'm not longer a Blue Rewards customer, so that could be why.

If in doubt, try their chat. Though good luck with that 🤞

I had that last year and it took two or three weeks for it to track.

No it wasn't an opt in/  Just you had to have your debit card linked which I have since the last promotion.  Yes I am still a Ble Rewards customer but didn't think the promotion was due to that.  If you go on your Cashback Rewards Account you can see if it is available in the offers section.

Cashback Rewards are exclusive to Premier customers and non-Premier customers who pay for Blue Rewards.

I opened a thread about this offer earlier in the month:

I didn't try NS&I and I but did deposit £500 into a Skipton BS savings account and haven't received any cashback. Would be interested in anyone has received it for any savings deposits anywhere.

When did you do your transaction?

I only did my transfer yesterday. Although Barclays shows it already as cleared it logs as date today and the time as past 8pm tonight so in the future telling me somehow it isn't fully cleared yet as it would be super fast.

We also have to recognise that Barclays isn't the fastest and their IT not the most sophisticated so could take a few days for me to track, if it does indeed track. NS&I worked fine the last time when the had a Blue Rewards promotion.

It was sometimes in September so I would have expected to receive it by now though I can't remember when they say the payment will be made. The Cashback Rewards line in my app shows 0
