    And the winner is ... The razor. (gillettte blue). Have scraped most of them off in the patch I just did. Tried gorilla strong tape but only a little bit better than sellotape and still only caching little bits. 
    Anyway 'm thinking that could scrape most of with razors then let nature take it's course and the rest will dissolve or rot away. (I think)
  • Stretch the fabric... pull the leg over the narrow end of the ironing board or similar, which should expand the weave so the grass fibres are not gripped so tightly... then try again with the methods you already used. Might help, might not, but there's nothing to lose!
