Hi . Never been in this section before but I've mowed the lawn and cut some bushes a bit in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and they are covered in the cuttings or seeds etc.. I have tried to clean them using  brushes soft and hard before and after a wash in the washing machine. Still there. Can simply get another pair from shop. But just wondered out of interest if they could be cleared without picking each thing off one at a time. That would take forever.

Nope , sellotape didn't do anything. In the bin and will wear shorts next time
  • I hope that's the sellotape, not the trackie bottoms :) Just keep this pair for mowing the lawn and similarly messy gardening jobs...

The answer for those wanting long trousers, is polyester jogging bottoms, as used to be sold under the Slazenger brand. Wash & wear again in a few hours in summer and never pick up grass etc. Not great in winter, when legs need something warmer!
    Not buying into it.

agree just keep them for gardening tasks next time. I got fleecy top covered in forget me not seeds, stuck it in the tumble drier and that got rid of quite a lot

If I have a jumper or any clothing actually that goes a bit bobbly I use a cheap Bic disposable razor.  Just lay the garment perfectly flat and run the razor by it's plastic arm down the tracksuit bottoms.  Every now and then after a several goes you will collect some seeds on the razor itself so just be careful and remove those from time to time. You can buy little battery operated bobble and lint removers but I'm not sure how good they would be with seeds.

I know someone has suggested sellotape but have you tried something a lot stronger like black duck tape as that tape is pretty tough and may grip hold of the seeds when you pull the tape off.

If sellotape wrapped around your hand didn't work I'm guessing the fluff on the fabric has grabbed the debris.
Yes, shaving it will work and a real de fluffer will bring them up like new. But that defeats the MSE phylosophy.
I have special clothes to wear for garden and decorating. Ditto shoes as mowing the lawn can turn them indelebly green.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
