I meant the OP should let their son use an account in their name but install the app in their son's mobile. Set up a new account obviously. Not sure I'd be able to sleep with any option to be honest.0

Opening an account in their name and giving it to someone else to use is more likely to drag the OP into problemsM25 said:I meant the OP should let their son use an account in their name but install the app in their son's mobile. They shouldn't be opening accounts in one person's name for another to use.
Most banks state in their terms not to share details etc.6 -
You could open a Starling account for yourself and get a kite card or similar for him?HampshireH said:

I would say yes because there is a high bar needed to add someone’s name to the CIFAS database, and CIFAS is an anti fraud database, not a credit reference agency.artyboy said:For that matter, can CIFAS legitimately hold fraud markers against an <18yo? And if so, does the same retention period apply as for an adult?0 -
I've just heard on the news, that Lloyds have reported an increase in Money Muleing in the over 40s !!
We think it's just a young person's issue. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)1 -
I’m extra careful about it now, I no longer transfer money to friends that I lend money or accept transfers back for the money they owe me back, it’s too risky especially if they are unknowingly to me caught up in something like this and I get the blame.Sea_Shell said:I've just heard on the news, that Lloyds have reported an increase in Money Muleing in the over 40s !!
