Read notice on website but do not seem to have letter or email pertaining to my individual accounts. Wondered whether anyonelse had heard or whether notices are stuck in royal mail.

I had the email on 20 Aug. It gives the names/issue numbers of any accounts that you have, but not the interest rates. Instead it gives this link to the rates: https://www.ybs.co.uk/documents/productdata/YBM1607RC.pdf?cmpid=eml-YBS-BoE-Notice-Aug-20242

So you've seen the notice about rate going down but complaining you haven't had anything on email or via post?
I try not to rely on post, had email about rate going down on various accounts with a link to the pdf document.
YBS have done their job as everything is on their site.
Don't know if YBS do this but it's possible they might not have sent you email/letter because your funds might be under a certain amount of money.
There's also this forum which people have mentioned that rates are going down for easy access and/or regulars0 -
I've received the notice by e-mail on 21St August.1

I too never received notification but my account only has £1 in it. As @jameseonline say's, some providers don't notify you of rate changes if you have less than (usually £100) in the account. In this instance it was not an issue for me because my rate before the change was 3.85% so is unlikely to be competitive for the next 12 months even if no drops in rate. I do find it annoying though that they can't send the email to everyone regardless of balance.

As @1spiral suggested, it is in the General Terms and Conditions how they will notify you and, if your balance is below £100, publishing a notice on their website would be sufficient to comply, thanks to the or condition, as seen below:

@jamesonline I was not complaining but was querying how others had been informed. If I was complaining I would have contacted YBS directly. Perhaps you could consider been less admonishing in you tone.
Several of the accounts are old and changed names during life time and have a low balance and I think the low balance is the reason for not being informed individually.
Thanks for help folks and remember politeness costs nothing but makes the forum a nicer place. Glad it was not ny first post.6 -
I've not had notification as yet and I have 2 accounts with them.1

No email, unlike other accounts regardless of balance, emails aren't expensive to send.. Low balance accounts might be retained as they can become competitive as others drop so it's important to be aware of rate changes. The info might be on their site and after a BoE drop it's logical to check even though no email has been received, but the point of the thread is perfectly valid regardless of whether YBS have 'done their job' or changes might get mentioned here.0
