Hi all,
my Currunt BB Now TV is ciomng to an end in sept currently £25 a month for 10 upload 60 download phoneline included the new price they are wnting for the same is £28.50
i dont need or want a Superfibre line put in ( i know this would be the best route pricewise)
But is there any others offering fibre to the cabinet with a phone line for around the £25 mark, i know that not all isps are advertising non superfibre deals, my mum has just got a new contract with plusnet thats fibre to the cabinet and phoneline, looking at the comparison sites cant see much avail there
thanks

If you are an FTTP only/Priority area the only options available to you will be superfast fibre. If you want to stay where you are on an FTTC connection you'll have to make contact with Now and see if you can get a retention deal.if there are no available options in your area.Plusnet won't be offering a phone line or digital voice with their FTTP products either FYI. The hand will be forced at some point on that as well.0

Plusnet tried to push my mum onto a superfibre package which she didnt want as she wanted her phone line for medical reasons, she was then told no you cant have that , so sher said she would leave, put through to retentions explaind she didnt want any increase in speed or superfibre and lo and behold was told she could keep the same package she was on including phone line and to make sure she got a good price and for the inconvienance of them first saying no, they will send her a £50 voucher, the thing that annoys me about now is they only offer 3 packages on their webpage all full fibre, yet in the email they sent they say i can keep what im on which is FTTC for an extra £3.50 a month, so thinking about it is there anyone on a FTTC bb with a speed of around 60 download? i will tel now in the next week and see if they can give a deal but i doubt it as the email i got said
Super Fibre
Pay as you use calls63 Mbps Average Speed, Unlimited Downloads, includes Line Rental
£28.50 a month
New 12 months minimum term applies. Prices may change during this period.
This includes a discount of £13.00 a month. Your discount will expire 12 months from the date you redeem.
so i dont think they will reduce it anymore
another think thats confusing for me is
they call this Superfibre yet its FTTC
if i go to another isp and see thier packages and it says super fibre its FTTP, if no one can say they are on FTTC here then i guess i will have to message isps and see if they do FTTC but just not advertising it as FTTP is faster0 -
Your mums current phone service with Plusnet will have to change in the not too distant. When the legacy PSTN is switched off, Plusnet dont have an alternative voice product so she would have to migrate to a provider which does - EE for example. But that will be a digital voice service.0

tell me about it lol , its a nightmare explaining how her non smart tv and dvd recorder works, she hasnt a clue on mobile phones ect so that will be next thing when pstn is turned off0
