You Fibre / Netomnia - Installation and Damage to Property

Not sure if this is the correct page.

You Fibre came to our property in mid June to install fibre broadband, long story short, they drilled through central heating pipe, 4 weeks until we found out what the problem was as we thought it was to do with our roof.

Now start of September and they are still dragging their feet in regard to sorting the damage.
I've had 15 phone calls and about 30 emails with them and Netomnia (installers who just happen to be owned by the same people).

We are now at the stage of them arranging a builder to come access the damage and arrange a quote, my goodness this has taken 4 week just to get to this stage and the builder they arranged was over an hour away from us, they didnt want to take the job as after listening to the problems I've had so I'm waiting on Your Fibre to arrange another builder.  They told first builder it was a small patch that needed mending.

They are a terrible company to deal with, fobbing us off left, right and centre.  Not taking ownership, not updating my account with the correct details.  Passing from department to department.

I've added photo's so people can see the damage, I had to get someone out to sort the central heating pipe as they were dragging their feet and told me to wait, I couldnt wait, the water was everywhere, I was going through 2 towels per day, soaking wet.

Any advice, would be appreciated.

Thank you

Julie

Unfortunately any advice is way too late ( as far as avoiding using them ) perhaps get the local paper round to take pictures etc and shame them into doing something

Or the consumer page on the Guardian website.  They normally use stock photos to go with their articles so they might go for this one.

You could post something on ISP Review or Thinkbroadband, they are more specialist sites and are run by people well known in the industry which may generate the necessary noise
  • Thank you, they have agreed to arrange for repairs to be property but just wont get off their bums and sort quickly.  They arranged a contractor, took them weeks but the guy wasnt happy about the payment method so backed out, they then contacted a handy man who came out and agreed it was needing more specialist repair not just cutting away damaged plasterboard and replacing.  They then said they cannot get anyone, really....... so I provided with with names and still not rushing to sort.
