Thank you for your informative inputs.
Trading 212 states that the request for photo ID is to 'comply with regulatory requirements' but I have opened other saving accounts recently without photo ID.0 -
They're all free to choose how to comply, the requirements aren't prescriptive. If T212 thinks a government issued photo ID is the best way to comply then it can require that and financial institutions aren't forced to accept any and all customers.Yellowman said:Thank you for your informative inputs.

It is very unfair on those who do not have a driving licence or passport.0

Having discussions, suggesting alternatives or making complaints isn't going to get you a Trading 212 account; obtaining government-issued photo ID will — as well as make your life easier as the digital age continues to rapidly evolve.Yellowman said:It is very unfair on those who do not have a driving licence or passport.3
