EasyJet flight compensation approved for husband but denied for me

My husband submitted the compensation form to claim for both of us on a flight that was cancelled 1 hour 45 minutes before departure. We departed the following day and were re-routed via another city. We know we have a right for to be compensated with £350 for each ticket.
They wrote: “We’ve taken a look at your [xxx] claim request but have unfortunately been unable to process it as you don’t meet the criteria required under the regulation” (xxx is my name which I cannot disclose due to forum regulations)
It then tells us that
 To qualify for consideration:
• The person who made the booking is able to make a claim for themselves and claim for all other passengers on their booking
• A passenger is entitled to make a singular claim for themselves only, but no other passengers (even if they didn’t make the booking)
• Where a booking has been made with a Travel Agent, we will allow the Travel Agency to claim on behalf of the customer
• We cannot accept claims from a third party

My husband made the booking so unsure why he was not allowed to make the claim.

how do you contact EasyJet to challenge this decision? There is no form and the email is a Non Reply

Why not just submit your own claim which their email confirms you can unless you booked via a travel agent? Is likely to be easier than going via an appeals process.

Did you husband make the the booking directly with easyjet (bullet one) or did he use some travel agent (either high street or online), in which case he would be under bullet 2

The post heading states that the husband’s claim was approved, but OP’s was refused.
