Think I'd change this as shown because it's not your entire case!

3A. The Defendant firstly avers that the parking operator has breached the British Parking Association (BPA) code of
    practice.

I've now submitted to claimresponses.cnbc and have received the auto reply response email.

Step 7 of the "the first 12 steps" is where I am at now.

Will keep updating the thread in case it helps anyone else.

    Good evening everyone,

I have my mediation next week and from what I have read, its mostly a waste of time.

They have asked for me to present my evidence / argument against payment.

Shall I submit all my evidence at this point and therefore, show my play so to speak which may potentially give the debt firm a leg up when countering my claim in court.

Or shall I keep it quite minimal at this point and just see what is said?

No evidence is submitted at mediation

The mediator is not there to discuss the case, it's not a hearing,  its just a monetary settlement scenario where both sides agree to the mutually agreeable figure discussed

Evidence is provided next year at the Witness statement plus Exhibits bundle stage,  before the hearing

Stick to the 12 steps,  5 minutes phone call,  offer £0, you want the case to progress towards the hearing

Ps, no debt firm is involved here,  just the claimant,  a legal company and you

    Neither.  Three minutes. Phone down,

Not sure why so many posters seem to forget that all early stages are in the 'first 12 steps' in the Template Defence thread, with two links about what to say in this pointless conversation with a pushy, naive idiot.

I have literally just replied to someone who actually asked whether to offer money!  Astonished. There is nothing to discuss in these cases and you aren't going to prepare anything.

    "

    Explaining your position

You will need to briefly explain your claim or defence to the mediator. You should prepare for yourself a brief summary of the main points."

This was in the email regarding the mediation booking. Thus I thought I would have to prepare give my defence/evidence briefly to the mediator. Wasnt sure how much I should include in the summary as I didnt want to give anyone the upper hand when it comes to a potential court hearing.

Anyway, I appreciate all the advice and I shall stick to what you guys suggest.

    Many thanks!

Thanks for showing us. Totally irrelevant in a private parking case.

You don't need to do anything of the sort!
