Pre approved for 0% card but just bought a house

in Credit cards
I live in a council property - was at my previous council house for 20 years and just moved in April this year to another council house.
I’ve also just bought my first house last month and hope to move asap. I’m concerned if I apply for a pre approved NatWest 0% card from my current address it will seem dodgy if they check and see I have just bought a house and have another address. If I wait until I’ve moved to apply I might have issues getting credit when because when I moved here in April my credit score was badly affected. It’s gradually improved as I’ve been here 4 months. I could really be doing with this card to help get some white goods/furniture to allow me to move to my new house. Plus, I just started a new job and not sure what verification they’ll need. Any advice welcome!

Your credit score doesn’t matter.
What will affect your chances of getting a credit card is your credit history and your affordability. So when you say you’ve just bought a house you mean that the sale has completed and mortgage payment will be showing up on your credit files? That is what lenders will be taking into account. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

As much as a move to a new home means we all want to have everything shiny and new you don't actually have to do things that way. There's lots of places you can get good quality second hand white goods and lots of charity shops etc have lovely vintage or preloved furniture. Freegle and other sites even have things available for free.
Wait til things have completed, get the barest of essentials and then see what you can do from there. And don't forget being pre-approved for a credit card doesn't mean you will get it or get the credit limit you expect.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If your purchase hasn't completed, and your mortgage hasn't started, then you would be strongly advised not to get any new credit until it has. Lenders may do a final check before issuing the loan and new credit would concern them.1

Thanks everyone, my mortgage has completed and the first payment taken. I have just furnished and decorated my current house which is being left to my daughter so funds are very low right now. Think I’ll need to stay put and do a bit of saving!0

Your credit score is meaningless and not taken in to account by lenders. They have their own internal, commercially sensitive scoring system.
I applied for a credit card within 1 month of buying a property and my mortgage starting (first payment hadn't even come out yet), I was approved and given the limit I required.
You may face issues when applying relating to your new job, lenders will want to know you can afford it so would likely request payslips and employment contracts if not passed probationary period.
Also, make sure all of the vital documents/accounts have been updated with new address. I made a spreadsheet list and literally the day I completed and received the keys I sat down and changed as many addresses as I physically could, not forgetting to register on the electoral roll!
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
