Thanks all for your thoughts. I have not pulled out yet I am just not chasing anymore because I am tired. My mortgage offer is now ending in 1/11/2024 after the extension we requested from Barclays two days ago. My thoughts are:
    1. I really like the flat & the area
    2. Ofc I am not buying this flat with the intention to sell after 2-3 years (you never know though!) however I do not want to buy something which will create me issues with managing agents & I cannot escape etc etc. I also think that FirstPort devalue the property actually.
    3. I would ideally look for freehold property however I have not seen any freeholds within the areas I want to live that are in a good condition, within my budget etc
    4. I feel I have wasted SO MUCH ENERGY (1+ year looking for flats) looking for a place to buy that I almost do not want to go through the same
    5. I will be upset if I have to pay my solicitor 1.5K more for nothing. Plus the 900 gbp I paid already to surveyor & deposit to my solicitor!
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS/ WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
