Their phone number is listed as +44 (808) 501 5897·That does not look like a UK number - if it is genuine (?) there's no need to include 44, it should read 0808 501 5897.

RBS webchat sent us from fraud team to dispute team and back to fraud, took all day. Weirdly they state that cleared transactions cannot be disputed but then they will support us once a transaction is complete if we dispute it ?? Not good service and I told them so. It's our money so why can't we instruct the bank to block any future payments? Unbelievable.
Thanks again.
If they come back with your details bank will contact you & you will have to pay them back.
They do have to block future payments on a CPA if asked by a customer. But doing via chat is not the best way as, you may not actually be speaking to the team involved.
We certainly do not deal with online chats. That is dealt with by a separate team.Life in the slow lane1 -

Thanks again.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I think we have made progress by emailing one of the banks board members ( I looked at !!!!!! website for hints) which resulted in the issue being escalated through resonse team. We have now been assured that future payments to the suspicious retailer will be stopped by the issuing new credit cards, which has been arranged. The Bank will attempt to get refund of payments taken. Feeling a lot better now, thank you everyone for advice. We will be checking carefully to see no more payments are taken !1

Lots of companies prey on unsuspecting consumers with the hope some won't take it forward. They will maintain you clicked on the one pound offer and were happy to pay 39.99 monthly indefinitely0

Morning all,
I woken up this morning with a pending transaction of £40.99 from the same company. I contacted NatWest and they advised it was a subscription service and they were unable to act because the transaction was still pending and my best bet was to contact the company 'bebudget.com' directly first.
I visited their website and contacted them using the chat box. Initially, they declined to refund the transaction and stated that I had signed up to their free trial and this was the subscription fee.
After a bit of back and through, I quoted the consumer rights act and the updated safeguarding protection against online subscriptions. I then informed them that they had broken the legislation and asked them "Would they refund my unauthorized subscription charge or do they want me to report them as a scam and have my bank investigate this and they claim the charge back". Their reply was "we have refunded you the charge and cancelled the subscription". The charge was back in my bank instantly.
I hope this helps anyone who goes through the same thing as this was very distressing this morning.0 -
I have just experienced the same thing with Pyd*Xfitcare.net and I am struggling to find any information about them. They have continued to try and take £59.98 out from my account but fortunately there was not enough in the card account for the payment to go through. However I need to block this or cancel whatever the payment is for. Had the same with TikTok shop payments of £450 which have actually gone through over a period of 4 days. Usually of £18.99 or £5.99 per transaction. Latterly various amounts. I have logged with the dispute team of my debit card provider and am waiting for an outcome.
