Christmas Flights

Hi all,
My husband and I go back to our families (in Italy) every year for Christmas. We noticed a slight increase in price over the past few years, but this time the increase is HUGE.
It's quite a big boost. We fly out from London (we change airport based on most convenient each time) and we paid £150 each last Christmas, compared to a possible spend of £230 each if we book now.
My husband checks one of those websites that tell you whether you should wait for a possible decrease in cost or buy the tickets. The website is still saying to wait, but we are worried that it'll increase even more and we'll end up paying too much (I proposed we fly right after Christmas as I remember that was a huge drop in price, but apparently that's gone as well!)
Should we trust the website and wait a little bit more, or just go ahead and book these pricey tickets (and regret it immediately, but at least we'll have made our peace by December?

Book now so you know it's done then don't look at prices again!0

Depends on which airports, dates, how flexible you can be, luggage requirements etc.
Christmas is always expensive and would say you're a little late in booking. Airlines use fairly complex algorithms so predicting future prices is difficult as they'll move based on demand and capacity. Looking at LON->ROM there are dates around Xmas that are sub £100pp on hand luggage only.0 -
The price is what is. To guarantee your travelling arrangements better to book now.0
