Backed into a corner by Amazon - No goods, no refund, closed account, scripted/unhelpful response

Don't consider myself as long term poster particularly, but longer than some. I have had a couple of issues over the years. One was a locker delivery, 2/3 items were missing. Told on phone that can't happen, its impossible. I pointed out that the value of the goods was about £12 (it was a screen protector and cheap case for a phone) and so I really didn't care, I just wanted to be clear that it can happen.I find there is an odd correlation between 1st time posters and wrong/none delivery from Amazon... yet to see someone who's been here for months/years to report the same despite many saying they're a regular Amazon user.
Second was a higher value item (£300 pair of fancy bose headphones). Empty envelope arrived, give them due, the delivery driver refused to deliver, told me he was returning it, and registered "damaged in transit". Everything else has arrived (far too much, its embarrassing, but now the mortgage has gone up, the budget has been clamped down on!).
I'm slightly suspicious that the only thing over £200 I've bought in years was the one to go missing, but there we go, it was up to Amazon to worry. I did note that the order details changed to "refunded as not delivered - if it arrives please return" I suspect there is a hole somewhere in their "ironclad security" (remember back in November 2020 when all those PS5's went missing, people got dog food etc instead)
