Lead booker on the holiday but have been removed

I was the lead booker for a holiday for myself and 5 other friends. Since booking we have fallen out and the other members of the group have logged in and changed my details on the account to those of a new passenger. I havent had any money back from what i put into the holiday and it seems there is no intention of sending me this money. i wondered what right i had with the company to refund me the money i have paid in and put these charges against the new passenger that has replaced me. I also wondered what rights i have as to how this was allowed to happen without my knowledge or permission especially as the lead passenger.

Well how did they get the details to login, for starters?2

on the booking portal to log in everyone logs in with the booking number and their own email address, im unsure if they used their own email to log in or mine as the lead booker as the company have said only the lead booker should be able to change their own name.0

The joys of "friends" getting together for a group holiday booking..........not the first time such an unfortunate withdrawal of diplomatic relations situation has appeared here.It would appear the OP's login details have been compromised - if another is assuming management of the booking.I would be contacting the travel provider soonest.1

The travel company isn't going to engage in the shenigans. Not their problem.0

It would seem the 'friends' knew OP's email address which is hardly unusual or that they would show them the booking confirmation for the flights/holiday he was booking on their behalf.0

Even if the lead passenger does not authorise another person taking over management of the booking ?Hoenir said:The travel company isn't going to engage in the shenigans. Not their problem.

Access to change the lead passengers details according to the company must be done by the lead passenger. The company have said this has been passed onto IT why this was able to happen if the other passengers have logged in with their account and been able to edit the lead booker or the other passengers have logged in with the lead bookers detailsHoenir said:

So, it appears the travel company have accepted that it may be their problem ?

If the other passengers have logged into their own accounts are were able to change my name then yes this is a fault and should not have been allowed to happenNoodleDoodleMan said:So, it appears the travel company have accepted that it may be their problem ?0
