Travel credit card that doesn't use SMS for security.

I don't use Uber but I imagine it's CNP, ie you order the taxi while you're not "in-person" so it's treated like any CNP transaction like ordering anything else online.frost29 said:
I had to have a Halifax credit card and when they blocked Uber and forced me to use SMS despite having the app I couldn't get the text message in time and had to use a debit card which did charge foreign transaction fees. So I moved on from Halifax. Santander offer cash back which makes it a good card to use but practically useless for me when abroad.400ixl said:I use my Halifax Clarity card abroad all the time and with in person purchases I have never had to do any secondary authentication other than the PIN code.
Not in person purchases on the web work in the same way as at home where some need authenticating in the app.
This is also the same for all my other credit and debit cards.
Oh, and that included MGM in Las Vegas.
I have though had my card locked whilst abroad and had to call them to get it unlocked, but that was not due to any missed authentications.1 -
I think the Nationwide Credit Card does in app verification?0

Look at Lebara. My sim-only deal costs me £6.50 per month with EU roaming. You do not need to pay £10 a month extra for something with overseas roaming.frost29 said:I can upgrade my phone contract to allow roaming abroad. It's £5 per day the cheapest contract I can find that will allow me to use my UK number abroad is £10 per month more expensive than my current one.0 -
I've looked at them is £10 extra for USA roaming. On top of how much it would cost me for a SIM card with the amount of data I use, it's three times my current phone contract.MEM62 said:
