Flights to Chania

Hi all,

This is my first post but was hoping someone with more experience in flying can help. Me, my wife, 2 young daughters are going to Chania Crete for 10 days with accommodation booked from 12/08/25 to 22/08/25 next year for brother in laws wedding. Everything is booked except flights we live very close to Manchester so we would ideally fly out of Manchester or somewhere near by. Only 2 companies from what I can see fly to this destination at this time, we looked last week and flights were £440 return but looked again last night and they are now £500 with Tui each. Jet2 do a better price but flights are after midnight and wouldn't work with our 2 year old girl. The dilemma we have is do we book now or do we hold out to see if prices go down. Holding out might mean the prices skyrocket and were struggling to get there, with funds being tight. Can someone help me please and advise on our next move to book now or hold out.

Thanks
Alex

I'd wait until easy jet tickets become available.  You can sign up to their newsletter and be notified of the release date in advance.

After our recent experience with Easyjet I wouldn't go near them again - stranded  with little help in a foreign country.
There have been many such late cancellations in recent months with passengers abandoned abroad.

The same can happen with any airline though, On the flip side Ive never had an issue with Easyjet ever in my decades of flying.

It's the follow on help and support which any airline gives to assist stranded customers that sets the benchmark.
I've only experienced 1 other flight cancellation scenario in the 65 years since I first flew abroad.
We were stranded in Malta 2010 due to the Icelandic volcano eruptions - Thomas Cook kept us in the same hotel on same board arrangements for 4 extra days, then chartered an aircraft to get everybody back to their original departure airport - with subsequent advice on claiming for any additional expenses.
There's never a problem with Easyjet until things go wrong, then they do it in spades.
