Why not? Use the opportunity to learn a little more...You don't say what you have now, but it's not that much different to 10

If your PC is compatible then yes. Windows 11 on the surface is Windows 10 with round corners, there is not too much change to learn. Underneath there are lots of improvements though and it will be supported for longer.

Agreed, if compatible upgrade as you'll get many more years of support.

If OPs PC/laptop was capable of running 11, they'd have been getting many prompts to upgrade by now.

Microsoft are cracking down on the hacks to allow 11 to be installed on old clunkers.

I recently upgraded to W11. The actual upgrade was painless, the only problems were with MS ignoring my settings and imposing it's own. Took a few days to sort everything out but Google will tell you how to fix things. But ensure that signons, passwords and data are backed up - which you should be doing anyhow.

Then I would go for it, I've not had any trouble upgrading 3 laptops and 2 desktops from 10 to 11. Of course this assumes your PC is capable of upgrading, but it should tell you that.

Seems they waited to the jump in build number, so makes me wonder if they are going to to be more strict for Win 12

I used Rufus to go from windows 10-11 because my cpu wasn't supported. Rufus is great to bypass windows making you setup a Microsoft Account. Been on Windows 11 just over 12months without any problems.
