After all, the EA has to tell the seller about all offers.
And, there have been suspicious results when buyers got one of their friends to phone up and ask about a property. E.g. telling the friend that there's only one offer and it's £buyer's offer, when the same EA was telling the buyer that there were multiple offers including some higher.
I'm not suggesting that made-up offers happen very often. But, they do seem to happen occasionally. If I remember correctly once on here there was an ex-agent who said that they had never made up an offer and had never seen it happen.lincroft1710 said:Although it will be financially burdensome, providing you have completed on your purchase, you can move into your new home before your tenancy ends. As well as negotiating with the landlord (as per my suggestion) or just accepting the cost of buying before the tenancy agreement has finished, there is at least one other strategy available to people who are morally dubious. I'm not suggesting that the OP is. But, there is something else that can be done.
I'm not going to point it out myself, as last time I did something like that people attributed the lack of morality to me. (Even though I'd never do such a thing myself.)
