Thanks for that offer, in fact Toozie is arriving in Edinburgh tomorrow morning and it was around her visit that we decided to arrange the meet.

I look forwarding to meeting with you on Thursday and welcome to the Scotland Board icon7.gif

I am hoping to go to the castle this time as I haven't managed it on my other visits to Edinburgh this year. Another thing well worth doing are the open top bus tours..........a ticket buys a 24 hour pass and you can hop on and off as and when you please.

I too found the Edinburgh folk to be incredibly friendly, without exception. They seem to appreciate tourists and make them very welcome. Their hospitality is second to none.

Wear 'sensible' shoes to visit the castle!!! when I went, the cobbles nearly 'cobbled' my future prospects!

Mind you, that *was* a loooong time ago (and at Christmas/Hogthingywotsit/waybeforeBurnsnightthough so it was particularly treacherous if heels were worn) ... ... check and see if they've re-paved ;)
