The owner asked me for help. I think it is worth mentioning here as the restaurant is located in High Street Edinburgh, near Edinburgh Castle and other main tourist attractions. It can be found on Winter Offer £15 page on website. (www.bayofbengaledinburgh.com/offers.php)

£15 voucher when you spend £40 or more
One voucher can be used per table or group.
Valid until March 2013, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
Excluding public holiday, new year and Christmas days.
The voucher (1.8MB in PDF format) will be opened in a new window.
Please print it and give to staff with order
    Xmas offers:
£25 off with order over £175 or
£15 off with order over £65
Please booking in advance and print the voucher on the website
I am web designer and love coding, ok sort of.
  • Hi I am in Edinburgh on the 15th & 16th March 2013, and wondering what to do!

I am going alone so more adult activities, I think I am going to do the hop on and off bus tour & visit the parliment. I want to go on a ghost tour one evening. But I am not sure what else to do with the time...

I won't have a car so will need to stay in the city, any idea would be great!

Is Camara Obsucra and the Castle worth going to?

Chambers Street Museum - a whole day if you want and it's free.
So is Museum of childhood ( not just for kids)
    Travelodge have sale rooms meantime.
Castle is good but pricey. Camera Obscura is ok but not wonderful IMHO.
For a more upmarket hotel see-

Also check out "all deals" on the 5pm website for discounted meals - some good offers but read reviews.

I'm there at the end of March with my BF (thanks for resurrecting thread, Erinnire) :D

Also looking for suggestions and discounts... will subscribe to thread.

Found 5pm.co.uk already. Great deals, and will check it out for food deals nearer the time.

I booked via booking.com - some good deals.

BF loves history/world war related things if there's anything like that to explore.

Will be on an evening ghost trip (won it, not sure which one it is yet).

Most important thing for us is price! May consider the zoo, although I've been before and don't think BF is that fussed about going.

Definitely going to Leith one day to explore/have lunch. It's featured in many books he's read and he'd love to visit.

    Thanks!

    Jx

A nice pub in Leith is Nobles Bar - pretty inside, good burgers
Other good one is Kings Wark which does lovely seafood
    Some good cafes as well

Museum on Chamber Street should have loads on history. Free and great.

Will have a think about more

I've heard good things about a new pub called the lioness of leith which is in Duke street, or for somewhere small and also very good to eat is Bijou which is on the corner of restalrig road and overlooks leith links which was the first golf course in the world and where the rules of golf that are still followed today were written.
