UncleK said:Well Lordy Lordy. The CSV file on 30th August is back to the way it was, complete with zero values!
Seems to have broken Octoprice data checker which now says ..
"Cannot set properties of undefined (setting '1')Sorry, something went wrong!Try again"0 -
For me, it was 20th August to 29th August when the zeros were missing on import (i.e. consumption) only. And now it's fixed itself. No clue why it started or why it stopped.0

Yes I was misremembering, 20th to 29th August. I had an email from Octopus asking if it was fixed, but a new download yesterday still has zeroes missing. Import only.

I regularly download usage data for both gas and electric from the Octopus website and plug it in to my spreadsheet.
Last time I did that was about 10 days ago. When I do it now I see the format has changed.
Main changes are that the electric now has an extra "estimated cost" column (but the gas doesn't) while the gas consumption data, rather than being in cubic meters as before now seem to be in Kwh0 -
This is getting weirder! I'm back to where I was, whereas Qyburn is still getting CSV files without zeros and double_duchy is getting another column. How come we are getting different treatment? Odd.0

I suspect the underlying data is there much the same as it always has been and the issue is the way it's presented when it's accessed.

I use https://octopus.energy/dashboard/new/accounts/(my account number)/consumption/home and then bottom right where it says "Get your geek on" I use the pink button that says "Download your smart data" and that downloads a CSV file which consists of three columns -
And it says consumption even if it's export.Consumption (kWh) Start End
I have always been using that method - and the CSV file definitely changed for those ten days to exclude zeros. I respectfully suggest it wasn't me!0 -

Downloaded today, extra columns, zeroes shown, and file downloads as "download.csv".

How long access to the "old consumption page" will last I don't know so I'm probably going to alter my setup to cater for the newly formatted files0
