@biggerpickle - the first few months doing the grocery challenge are usually reality checks and the opportunity to really find out what we are spending on groceries etc each month. I used to think I sort of spent about, approximately, more or less, kind of £100 a week 🤦♀️ When I started tracking my spending it was, of course, much more than this.
I also used to treat my budget as a target to aim for rather than a ceiling on spending that I should try to underspend on if you see what I mean.
final shop of September completed today. Really did my best to stick to my list and consequently buy what we need for our meals this week.
yippee I've finished the month with an underspend of £6.68 which is going towards my Christmas savings.
well done to all of us for making an effort to plan our grocery spends to fit our circumstances. Special thanks to @Elsiepac for organising us each month.
