    So disappointing for you!

    At the point that your daughter had fainted, it would theoretically have been possible for the rest of the family to continue with their holiday, perhaps asking a grandparent to come to the airport to take care of her. Or at least one parent and your son could have taken the holiday. If you had known that leaving the 'plane would mean losing the holiday and no refund, perhaps that is what you had done.

    Anyway, you all decided to leave the 'plane on the basis of assurances from the member of cabin crew. You were entitled to trust that what you were told was true.

    Again, the company's airport representative gave you information that was, to say the least, highly misleading.

    I suggest that you make a formal complaint based on these points (only).

    As others have explained, the airline acted correctly in ordering your daughter off the 'plane and no complaint about this has any chance of succeeding. The enforced 72-hour wait is almost certainly in their rules and not something that anyone at the airport could over-ride, and is doubtless something that you agreed to when you accepted their T and Cs as part of making the booking.
