Rats in the loft - My problem or the Landlords

Go back, complain that there is pest infestation in THEIR loft space and demand that they do something about it. Involve environmental health, your councillor, your MP if they still refuse to act.

3 years later and I have still not secured the way in which they got in, but they have never returned.0 -
1- quote relevant sections from your tenancy agreement
2- how do you know it is rats? Not mice?
3- how much are the costs quoted to you by the council?
4- in the meantime, why dont you take action yourself and put down traps and other anti-rodent items?0 -
Bet it ain't rats - v probably birds or less likely mice...
Have to evidence otherwise (eg deceased rat ? )0 -
Or roosting bats possibly, depending on location?Either way, however, if OP isn't technically allowed to access the loft space to check it doesn't really take things any further forward.0
