What is the exact wording of the question?0

Assuming your driving/training etc to Spain then you'd need to say you are visiting Portugal and Spain0
-
If its asking where the flight is landing, its Portugal
If its asking where the accommodation is, its Spain
If its asking where you are playing golf, its Spain
If its asking which countries you are visiting, its both
Need the exact wording of the question being asked for any meaningful advice to be proffered.1 -
Question wording is

Your final destination is Spain.

Indeed it is Spain. Some destinations dont even have international airports (such as Andorra) and some places are very near to each other across borders (such as Vienna and Bratislava) so its not as if an insurer would query why you are flying into one country and then driving across a border to another0

Thanks, that makes sense0

You answer "Spain and Portugal". Your premium will then be based on the most expensive and/or risky of these two countries.

The question doesn't ask for final destination, the destination of the flight is Portugal, the OP is then travelling to Spain and therefore they should declare both. Given both are Western European countries it's unlikely to make any difference but under CIDRA they could void the policy for reckless or intentional non-disclosure were they to decide to withhold the destination of the flight.TELLIT01 said:Your final destination is Spain.
Things would be different if the OP was flying to Portugal and then taking a connecting flight to Spain as technically they've never entered Portugal.

Agreed.
To give a more extreme example: I will be spending a couple of days in Spain on the way to Cuba. I need to declare both: I presume that the premium for Cuba is higher than for Spain, but I certainly want to be insured during my time in Spain.
