No problem good luck, I've just won 2 competitions in 2 weeks after not winning any in 12 moths but it is addictive

Aw yay! Well done 👏 xx

Yeah I'm not too fussed about winning I'm just looking for a distraction from my racing thoughts. I've entered a couple I'm worried about constant spam emails 🙈 xx

I have a separate free yahoo email address for competitions. Yes there is tons of spam but you have to scan them in case one is a winning email but it keeps the spam out of your regular email box.

     Yes it's definitely a distraction.
  • There are a few threads for the puzzle mags too. They are free and I've never had any spam from them. I've entered them for ages and only ever won £100 once, so don't necessarily expect to get much out of your time on them. I find them quite therapeutic to go through and enter though because they have that repetitive quality that I sometimes want when I just want to clear my mind. Some nice music in the background and I'm all set!

Take a Break ones are here and just require you to type name and address. Once I'd entered them once I could just double click on each box to make them auto fill. Some people have form auto fillers which might be better but I don't know much about them: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6289239/take-a-break-puzzle-magazines-regularly-updated

Puzzler ones are here and require you to set up a free login to enter. It means you don't have to type your name and address each time because you save that to your account, just log in and you're away: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6289348/puzzler-com-regularly-updated-ongoing-competitions-please-dont-click-expire

I highly recommend you either make a note or use the 'compliment' button on those so you can keep track of where you've got to when you enter. It's also worth using the 'entered' button when you enter comps on the main board so you don't duplicate your entry.

The Take a Break and Puzzler threads are regularly added to and have been running for a long time so many of the earlier pages have old and expired comps. You'll want to be on the later pages in the thread to find the ones still open.

There are also weekly mag comps which are posted on the main board marcia_ linked to. If you want to see all of them then they are listed here in the first three messages. They are kindly updated by One-Eye so you can see which ones are currently active: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5918490/regularly-updated-links-to-weekly-magazines-weekly-mags/p1

You'll start to understand the types of comps you do and don't want to enter and what information you're happy to give. I generally won't enter lots of details unless it's a magazine comp or similar, but I'm happy to enter most comps that just want my name and my (competition) email address etc.

    Happy comping! :)
