  • ooooh I loved this thread before too, I'm really glad it's back!!

    Today I will erm
1)Not increase my debt in any other way.
2)tidy horrible mess of bedroom (it was tidy, this is what a week out in the pub does) instead of going to said pub.
    3)have cup of tea.

(I know number three is not DFW exactly but I was clutching at straws there....!)

Went on Freecycle to see if anybody had any ringbinders.
  • Have done a little host of DWB things in last couple of days which included

Increasing DD to credit card, cancelling gym membership, setting up standing order for next years Christmas fund, changing frequency of loan repayment to coincide with fact I get paid 13 times a year but was only paying 12 repayments.
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)
  • Yeah good luck with the bread duchy - only trouble I have found is that when I make nice bread it just gets eaten!!

    Anyway, I love this/these thread/s.
Today I have: Done my clicks
Not gone to the Sales, again
    Eaten Christmas leftovers, again
Only bought absolute essentials in Tesco - washing powder etc, no unnecessary "bargains" that I don't need
Invited friends round instead of going out (and that'll shift some more leftover crisps too!)
  • Had a good money saving day today!

    - Reduced my phone tariff from 18.99 a month to 15 (every little helps, more mins and texts too, my old tariff is ancient in mobile phone terms!)
    - Went to coinstar (I know you pay commission but the change has been sitting round for three years, so weighing the pros and cons...) made £35!
    - Signed up for one of those bingo free deposit things, as I won for the first time ever last month, so am giving them another bash! Won £44.
    - My ebay relists are *finally* selling. At £27.50 in total at the moment, so fingers crossed.
    - And a no spend day (although thank you mummy for buying me some crisps!)

Am throwing all of the above at my Virgin card as I'll be changing jobs this month so won't be working full time for a lot of it, big wage drop at end of Jan, before hopefully, big wage hike end of feb, yay for night working and enhancements! I don't care that I won't have a life for a bit, at least I won't have any debt!

Well so far today i've done the following:

    1. Posted in my debt diary and update all amounts for the first time in ages
    2. Updated my snowball calculator
    3. Went through all cashback sites i'd registered with and did the daily clicks
    4. Not left the house so a no spend day

    still to do:

    1. Put the rubbish out
    2. Make dinner from stuff in freezer - no more takeaways
    3. Sort out a box of clutter from the bedroom
    4. Empty bathroom cabinet of all rubbish

Think thats more than enough for today
