Does Lebara mobile work in Canary Islands?

Late to the show as always, recently visited 4 Canary Islands as well as Madeira and roaming did not work. Pay as you go does ok. Talked to Lebara and was told by them that the Canary Islands and Madeira are not in the EU so no roaming. Very disappointed.

Very strange, Ive just gone onto their app and put in "Spain" and it says it is a Roam Like Home destination, there is no small print and no separate "Canary Islands" option.
Same applies for Portugal/Madeira

Someone is talking nonsense. They are part of Spain and in EU and roaming definitely works there at least on Tenerife and Lanzarote from personal experience with Lebara
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Yes, total nonsense. I've been to Tenerife and Lanzarote multiple times and never had a problem with roaming. The Canaries are certainly in the EU (you will see EU flags everywhere) but they are exempt from EU VAT rules which is why taxes on the islands are lower - 7% compared to 21% in mainland Spain.
