I have a HTB ISA and Lifetime ISA opened in previous years.
2024/2025 I opened a moneybox cash ISA and maxed it out with 20k. I have also been putting money ( the £200 limit/month) into my HTB Isa...
My question is can I do a) move 4k from my HTB ISA into my Lifetime ISA in one lump sum now. And continue paying £200/month Into HTB? or b) pay a monthly sum into my Lifetime ISA up to 4k and continue paying £200/month into HTB?
THANKS

You might be in a spot of bother I think - the £20k limit applies to all ISA accounts, not each type individually. By putting £20k your Moneybox account, and also contributing to your H2B ISA that will put you over the yearly allowance!
But otherwise if they are all cash ISAs then you can transfer between them subject to their respective limits (overall £20k ISA allowance, with secondary limits of £4k/year for LISA and £200/month for H2B). You should be okay to transfer money from the Moneybox or H2B ISA to the LISA, but make sure to use the official ISA transfer process rather than withdrawing the money and depositing it yourself as this will eat into your overall ISA allowance otherwise.
Can I ask why you're paying into both a H2B and LISA though, given you can only use one of them for a property purchase?

Okay. I made a mistake. I Continued my direct debit into my nationwide HTB isa for 2024/2025, paying £800 this tax year and equating to £11822 in total . I also accidentally paid £25 into my Moneybox Lifetime ISA which was also opened in a previous year - i wasnt using it to buy a house. I put 20k from a savings account Into a Moneybox cash ISA at the end of April 2024. = 20825.00 into ISA this tax year.
I realised what i did as im looking at moving 4k of HTB isa (which would have been funds from previous tax year) into my Moneybox lifetime ISA as now we might be purchasing a house over £250k.
What are the consequences of overpaying and how is it best to sort this error?
Can I still move 4k from my htb isa Into my Lifetime isa?0
