Hi Ive received an email from the above stating that I had double cover on car hire excess insurance from carhireexcess.com . To claim this I need to provide my CC details, could this be a scam?

Any unsolicited email asking for details could well be a scam, so you're right to ask. First question is have you purchased Car Hire Excess insurance from carhireexcess.com? Have, or could you have purchased it twice in error?
Carhireexcess.com is operated by Cover More Blue Insurance Services Ltd. They have a telephone number at the bottom of their website, call them and discuss?1
