I left my old employer to a lower paid job on the start of June, 5 ., made UC claim on 8th
I was due some final pay, which I got in end of June.
add that to new job wage, no UC in start of July 8

next cam tax rebate at end of July from old employer, add that to new job wages, no UC at start  of August 8

then got final holiday pay that was taxed when it should not be taxed as I don't earn enough to be taxed on August 1st.which I thought would be in the august 8th UC claim , hence no UC.

thus no UC again in August but my holiday pay was not showing  up in the UC calculation, just current job wages and tax refund from old job.

thus now next month September I expect no UC again cos my holiday pay I got on August 1sr for some reason never got into the august 8th UC . calculation
plus you can add my current wages, plus perhaps a tax refund for taxing me on my holiday pay

all would be fine if I had got all i was due within a few days of leaving old job, but this has to be the most awkward employer I had ever worked for.

    Is there a question?
If not, maybe this would have been better kept with your other posts in debt free wannabe

UC entitlement is based on earnings received each assessment period. Did you have a question?

yes the holiday pay I got on August 1st should be in my August 8th uc calculation, but it never showed up
has my old employer not reported this holiday pay to HMRC yet, is that the reason for it not showing up

    all other things showed up

if they have been slow it will cause a knock on effect on any UC due in September total earnings

that means my first UC award of money will be on October 8th despite leaving old job on June 5th, 4 months wait

Have you asked for an explanation in your journal?  I don't think anyone here is in a position to comment on what may or may not have happened with HMRC.

What does it show in your personal tax account on Government gateway and do those figures tally up with what you actually received and those used by UC?

There really is no reason for your old employer to have taken so long to calculate what they owed you but what matters is how much you received and when you received it. , do those figures concur with the calculations UC have used in the relevant assessment period?

the last conversation I had with old employer was on August 1st why did they tax holiday pay at 20.% of it.when I only work part time now. they said once they submit the holiday pay to HMRC in their August pay run then I will get it back via my current employers wage.

so I guess they were late telling HMRC this holiday pay for calculation for the august 8th UC award

all the numbers add up, except the holiday pay in the UC calculation for August award isn't there, which annoys me, cos it is going to stop any award in September when it is finally included , which means first award with money will be in Oct award when no more money has been paid out and included in any UC calculation from old
     employer

this is the result of an ex employer paying out final monies owed to me in dribs and drabs

You still haven't clarified whether the date you received your holiday pay matches the date your old employer reported it paid to HMRC.
If it does match then that's unfortunate but if they are different dates, and changing the reported date to match the actual day you received the holiday pay would make a difference to your UC calculation then this can be corrected.

First port of call would be your old employer and ask them to correct the reported date, they have a legal responsibility to report accurate information.
If they won't play ball then ask DWP to look into it with proof of the date you received your holiday pay. Doing it this way will take longer though.

all I can confirm is I got holiday pay on August 1 which was taxed they said I get tax back in current employment if I'm due it once they have done their august HMRC  payroll. run .I got holiday pay as a one of manual payment into bank
I have to wait till end of August for a wage slip for this  holiday pay cos they don't create them till last day in the month , the usual pay day

I have a feeling they will not report this holiday pay till they do their august payroll run, as that was when they said they will tell hmrc about. 20%tax I paid, does that mean they didn't follow the rules cos they made a manual payment and not wait till they could have paid it out with all the other employees at end of month  July 31 st , see below

I do. not wish to communicate with old employer at all, they are useless , in fact I had to haggle for my holiday pay, they could not work it out, they did not use the previous AVE earnings i had done in the previous months, they just didn't want to be bothered

I accepted a price cos I wanted it to show up in the august UC award, they said it would take them days or weeks to go thru my average earnings now

they also said the manager that was to put  the original  due hols pay due on July 31 cos she was on holiday, did not , that's when i got them to haggle and make manual payment asap after I complained

does that mean the hol pay I got on aug 1st should have been reported  to HMRC on August 1st by them rather than they waiting till August 31 with all the regular employees  at end of month
