Virgin 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA 5.05%

I wondered why my interest was a little higher than calculated! Well worked out Snowman!SnowMan said:My Virgin fixed rate ISA matured yesterday on 29th August 2025Interestingly they've credited interest on 29th August, that is showing this morning (Saturday 30th), but which has been calculated up to and including end of day interest on 31st August (Sunday) rather than 28th or 29th August (based on the traditional n/365 method calculation method). So probably the 4.11% interest on the easy access maturity account will start from and including 1st September and not 28th/29th August.Compiler of the RS League Table.

What happens next?
From Tuesday 2 September 2025, you’ll see your money in the new Easy Access Cash ISA Exclusive Issue 3. You will be able to access your funds from Saturday 30 August 2025 in a way that suits you – in the app, online, via telephone banking or in branch.

I'll leave mine where it is for now, 4.11% is decent.0

Same, since I just want the money in an easy access ISA with no withdrawal restrictions for now anyway. Seems like rate is guaranteed for at least 2 months as well, because of the notice period they have to provide if they decrease the rate.Beddie said:I'll leave mine where it is for now, 4.11% is decent.1 -
Yes, mine's still showing in the app as fixed 5.05% with interest paid. Presuming it's because it's the weekend.SnowMan said:My Virgin fixed rate ISA matured yesterday on 29th August 2025Interestingly they've credited interest on 29th August, that is showing this morning (Saturday 30th), but which has been calculated up to and including end of day interest on 31st August (Sunday) rather than 28th or 29th August (based on the traditional n/365 method calculation method). I put in a transfer request to Ford Money back in July, I'll have to see if it happens as I heard nothing from Virgin about it, and they only sent me maturity instructions about 2 weeks ago (by post, even though I'm signed up for paper-free).
If I had known in a timely fashion about Virgin's maturity account I probably would have left the money where it isI consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?1 -
Pretty good transfer by Virgin to Paragon 15 month ISA Fix. Matured 29th Aug, all done and dusted to Paragon before lunch today!Compiler of the RS League Table.

Same for me.Bobblehat said:Pretty good transfer by Virgin to Paragon 15 month ISA Fix. Matured 29th Aug, all done and dusted to Paragon before lunch today!
Opened the Paragon ISA 3 weeks ago and submitted the transfer request. No communication from Virgin Money whatsoever about the transfer, but had an email from Paragon this morning stating transfer was complete.
If Virgin had communicated the maturity options sooner I'd have probably just left it there at 4.11%. Also tried to open a new fixed with them but couldn't be bothered to register as a new customer (as it was the "other" side of Virgin offering the new accounts). Two chances to keep my business missed!0 -
Opened a Paragon ISA weeks ago and still waiting for my transfer to complete.
My partner's transfer to Aldermore completed this morning.0 -
My transfer completed from Virgin to Ford. Shame Virgin were late with their maturity information, I would have kept the money with them!I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

Saw the 4.11% offer, but wanted to fix rather than leave it in a variable. Paragon were top at one point in August, and I got itchy and opened the 15 month fix on the 5th, then others edged a little higher on 12 months .... apathy got the better of me and I just stuck with Paragon. They've been pretty OK in the past! Impressed with the speed of the transfer by Virgin's and Paragon's efforts ... I had wondered if there would be a delay caused by maturing into the EA ISA first ... but all good.bagand96 said:
