I'm have been on the forum a long time and successfully won a court case previously and now I'm back with a new ticket.
Received this on the 11/08/2024 in a Hospital which is patrolled by Gemini Parking Solutions.
My wife was in labour and had to stay a few nights after - a pretty good reason.
The rules for parking are:
- You have to purchase the first ticket which is £2.50 from Ring Go app or via a ticket machine.
- The maternity ward offer 24 hour parking with a parking permit given from the maternity ward (image attached).
- I used the Ring Go app and was there from 8th August and left on the 11th August. For the prior 3 days there was no issue or ticket, but maybe the attendant wasnt there - who knows?!
- Flaws in the ticket is the time is 12:05 no idea if this is AM or PM.
- Previous 3 days i never had an issues or tickets.
thanks for the help

First task is plan A in the newbies sticky thread
Complain about the PCN ASAP to PALS, get it cancelled by PALS
PALS is always the first action at hospitals0 -
I spoke to PALS today and they told me to appeal first to Gemini and if not successful write them an email.
I didnt feel confident with that approach.
Once i appeal then i have admitted driving etc.0 -
Then wait for a postal notice to keeper before appealing, but keep poking PALS because they should be complying with the NHS guidelines , not fobbing you off , especially because Gemini will reject any appeal
More like PALS couldn't be rsd1 -
as this was a window ticket will they send a postal notice?
I will call the PALS team again and keep poking at them.
At the moment shall i hold off sending an appeal which would only get rejected?0 -
Also where can i find the NHS guildlines?0
-
Google. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles/nhs-patient-visitor-and-staff-car-parking-principles
Do not appeal a windscreen PCN, wait for a postal notice and try to use the guidelines to get a cancellation from PALS whilst waiting, its what PALS are supposed to do, assist patients and their helpers or relatives, they are not there to assist private parking companies , even at Whips Cross1 -
-
thanks for that will take a read, but no mentioned of maternity parking which is special about this particular hospital.
I will press the PALS team tomorrow again and await the postal notice.

Why does the NTD say no ticket. ? Did the driver pay using Ringgo. ? If yes then no vehicle would have a ticket !
So was the parking paid for or not. ? Yes or No. ?1
