Thanks Gr1pr1

Two quick questions.
Is there any reason to delay emailing my defence?
If they do discontinue, can they come back later and restart the court process, or is it a one shot deal?
Thanks.0 -
1) No , providing that its the best defence you can muster, plus if you aren't worried about things happening sooner and conflicting with planned trips etc ( some people would delay it in order to get xmas over with )OldBloke101 said:Two quick questions.

2) in theory its a one shot deal, unreasonable behaviour to start over, I can't see a court allowing it , I think that estoppel would apply0 -
Thanks,
Given your and Coupon's comments on my defence, I can't see me being able to add anything further to make it better and I have no reason to delay.0 -
If it's a DCB Legal issued claim, you could simply add the following as your para #3 as it won't make a difference to the eventual outcome... discontinuation:
3. Defendant parked his car one day,
And thought he'd paid his stay,
But the PPC came right along,
And had some sh!te to say."You stayed too long, you didn't pay!"
They claimed with puffed-up pride,
But Defendant laughed and walked away,
"Go !!!!!! yourself," he cried!

Sorry, another question just to check.
At what point do DCB Legal usually discontinue? Is it after the mediation and before the witness statement stage or after the witness statements have to be filed? Thanks.0 -
They discontinue when the 410 examples in Umkomaas thread show!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies Coupon-Mad. I hadn't realised that thread went to that level of detail. Some list when in process and some don't. I should have read more thoroughly.0

Defence emailed and response received. Some sort of response, presumably acceptance of the defence paper work, within 10 days.
Thanks for everyone's help so far.1
