It's the bu66erance chromosome, weeds have loads of it, conversely that choice specimen plant has none & will curl up & die the day after you looked at itsubjecttocontract said:How come some weeds can grow 2 inches in less than 24 hours ?
Numerus non sum5 -
Brambles can do better than that. They say 3 inches but mine can do 12" a day.Makes you wonder why we don't grow the 'wild flowers' instead of tender stuff that needs constant attention

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

What weeds have you got OP?
I've got mare's tails that can not be there one day and 2 days later they're a foot tall, sticking their tongue out at you and loving life in general. Swines. See also - bindweed.Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.4 -
It's a matter of faulty perception. If people were to look upon 'weeds' as a welcome addition to the diversity of their plot, and welcome them, there'd be no issue. It is very divisive to think of some plants as having greater worth than others. We all know that in the Darwinian universe, all plants are equal, so if some grow and reproduce faster than others, it's a reason for celebration, not dismay.

But what if we live in an Orwellian universe and some are more equal than others?Shout out to people who don't know what the opposite of in is.3

Then we will appoint a rounding-down Tsar and have Public Enquiry. It should only take 10 years or so to produce a report. Meanwhile it would be equitable and non-prejudicial to 'temporarily' withdraw the licence for RoundupYoungBlueEyes said:But what if we live in an Orwellian universe and some are more equal than others?

Ah it's fine, we don't have to worry about Roundup or the good ole stuff any more, because the rivers are... No I daren't
