no i doubt it will actually add to the price, just make the house more saleable.
esp in the present housing market?
(we put the house up for sale just at the wrong moment but we want to move to the south coast).

  • Hi, I am new to the forum and really interested in putting up a DIY porch. I have done quite advanced DIY in the past so think I can do it. The link above was good, but what about the joint between porch and house. How do you achieve that?

the 2 main joints (uprights) are covered in mastic before screwing to the wall. and mastic is applied again to the outside gap. just like a window.

the roof joint is usually done by using flashing.
its easier these days cause they make a self sticky type.
    (pros prefer the older type).
