DECREASE IN INTEREST RATE

I opened a online Shawbrook bank 1yr fixed cash isa the other day (issue 102) with an interest rate shown as 4.96%. I transferred an easy access cash isa to them but it hasn't gone through yet so my online Shawbrooks account is still showing nil balance. The interest rate shown is also shown as 0% and not the 4.96% as expected.
Since the 0.25% interest rate reduction by the BOE the issue 102 has been withdrawn and replaced by a issue 103 with an interest rate of 4.68%.
Do you think they will try it on and only give me the 4.68% interest rate instead of the 4.96%

Shawbrook accounts always show 0% interest until they actually have funds in them.
As for what rate you get, you will have to wait & see but they are very approachable and may well honour the higher rate if you don’t get it automatically.0 -
Pretty much a definite that they won’t. It’s a fixed deal and you got it while available. It’s normal for some accounts to show 0% until funded.0

As above, the minimum account opening balance is £1000. It'll show a rate of 0% until you deposit at least £1000.
As long as it's funded within the required time frame, you'll get whatever the rate is/was for that issue.1 -
The interest rate will be the amount as shown on the ISA summary sheet when you opened the account - which you should have downloaded0
