Cancelled easyjet flight from Malaga

Hi my flight was cancelled the day I was returning home from malaga due to atc and bad westher on 21 July 2024.  Eadyjet booked me on a flight 2 days later.  I have claimed for my hotel, am I due any compensation?

Under UK/EC261When your flight is cancelled you are entitled to:

- Re-routing at the earliest available opportunity. On other airlines if necessary (ie if you didn't want to wait 2 days for the next easyJet flight you could have booked another airline and claimed the cost back) 

- Care during any delay - reasonable expenses for meals and accommodation if necessary (you say you've claimed for this) 

-Compensation at fixed rates. However this isn't payable if the cancellation is due to extraordinary circumstances beyond the airline's control. 

Cancellation due to weather (and likely resulting ATC delays) would be outside easyjet control so compensation wouldn't be payable.
