Question about losing CCJ and paying within the 30 days.

If I lose court case for a ccj and my defence isn't accepted will I get a ccj? I know some sources say I can pay within 30 days and I won't get a ccj but other sources say after u lose the court case u get the ccj and then u can pay within 30 days but u have to request to have the ccj taken off ur record which is an extra fee and doesn't always happen? Does anyone know the correct answer?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Yes you would get a CCJ, think about what those letters actually mean
Judges make a judgment in county court, think about it, logically
But the judge also gives the defendant a grace period to pay it in full, to avoid the subsequent credit issues for an unpaid CCJ after the 30 days are up
The Claimant is supposed to notify the court to stop it going onto the public register of unpaid Judgments
See the thread below too, it has excellent advice in it

Hi thanks for your response. I do find it a little patronising somehow.
All i was trying to clarify is if I pay within the 30 days the CCJ won't go on my record and affect my credit? From the link you attached I gather not. It seems if I lose and pay the fine it is as if the CCJ never happened? I'm just trying to determine if I will lose anything by trying to defend myself.0 -
THE NEWBIES thread already covers this.Nobody risks a CCJ if they lose because the few who lose just pay (less than the claim, and many cases are discontinued with no hearing, hence it is a no-brainer to defend).
If a CCJ for losing parties was a risk, we wouldn't do what we do every day.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Its meant to convey everything that people require, newbies or otherwise, from the standpoint of knowing nothing at all, or to rebut misconceptions, nothing patronising about any of it because it's a set of common misconceptions that many people have, especially when they come here , me too many years ago when my son got a PCN
So to answer the above
There is no "fine" so no fine is ever paid
There is or was an invoice, for £100 or less, that figure is usually agreed in the judgment , Plus legal fees and court fees, typically around £212 in total, so that actual figure decided by the judge is what you would pay, ASAP
If the judge gives the defendant 30 days, which is standard, then payment in full to the lawyers. ( Or claimant if no lawyers were used ) should trigger the recipient in providing proof of payment to the court within the time allowed
It definitely happened if it gets that far, it marks it as satisfied, but remains on file, without triggering it onto the public record of unpaid Judgments, it doesn't. "Go away or disappear " but also doesn't appear on your credit record, like Ldast says in the excellent explanation
If you defend and lose you get a CCJ, verbal in court, arriving in a subsequent letter from the court
What you are talking about is taking prompt financial action to stop the judgment affecting your credit record , so its your credit record that never knows it happened
Two different things, that are linked, but the consequences are different for those who fail to pay in full by the deadline , which is what most people like you want to avoid , like the recent lost in court case below

Don't shoot the messenger, because you did ask, its not quite the same as your misconceptions, but over 50% of the victims who come here are the same as you, we aim to stop that but have failed to do so in over a decade of assisting people1 -
Basically there is zero risk. Defending any parking court claim is a no-brainer. Regardless of facts.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you @Coupon-mad and @Gr1pr
Also are you OK @KeithP ? Guess what, people make mistakes. Especially when they are 40 weeks pregnant something I'm sure you've never been through

Ideally, you should have added your. CCJ questions to todays thread that you posted earlier, the forum expects one thread for each separate incident, but hopefully you now fully understand the issues and truth of the topics being discussed
May I suggest that you carry on dealing with your previous thread. ? Thank you1 -

@Gr1pr I had the original thread deleted because of the unredacted image I stupidly uploaded. So I have made a new one titled 'help with defence' I would be grateful if anyone could help me with it and apologise for having to start the thread again.
@Coupon-mad props to you, hopefully you can understand its hard to think straight in this situation2
