You won't know until you check that overnight usage.
You never answer if you are doing regular checks on your meter?
If you dismiss everything then how are you going to find a solution?
I only started this post 21 hours ago, But I certainly will check overnight usage, I put in my first post today that "Meter testing is a great idea and il try when I get home from work"

I have not dismissed anything, are you confusing this with another thread?

As mentioned I'm currently at work so cannot check things, but know enough about my appliances from memory to list here. I wasn't asking for a a definitive answer on exactly how much power I am using more of a

It's on the high side - but you have a young family with someone at home most of the day -  typical average has people working away from home.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

Its around 10-13 years old,  its frost free and has the "super freeze" draw and button so i'm guessing it wont be too inefficient
Measure it over a few days. When fridges and freezers approach the end of their useful life their power usage can go through the roof.

I would also suggest installing one of the energy monitoring app and seeing how your usage varies throughout the day. I use Hugo - other apps are available.

Did not know this about fridge/freezers at end of their life, one of my two under counter fridges is an old larder (without freezer box) donated to us a decade ago by my wife's Nan, so Im guessing that things hanging on for dear life!

Hugo app, never heard of it but thanks! I just checked it out, doubt it will work with my old smart meter but if it does il be blown away, never had one of the little screens to show daily usage etc.

Old fridge in the garage is possible, that's why you need to check the for over night usage.
    Are you checking the meter?
We have a Beko upright freezer in our garage which sounds similar to the OP's and it really doesn't use a load of power at all.

Nameplate for a model roughly that age (CDA554) says 307kWh per annum for the benchmark.  Not bad, but a modern one could be nearer 200kWh.

Unless it's going wrong though, that doesn't explain 7500.

Do EDF bills given it's a smart meter give you a daily breakdown of usage?
As octopus breaks your usage into daily usage, & 30 min sections so you can see exactly the usage.
    Such as this.

    Electric showers?
    Immersion left on?
    Large American style fridge freezer
    Desktop PC
    Pond pump
    EV?
    Electric shower - 8.5KWh - Less than 10 mins a day
Desktop PC - 4 hours a day average
    No EVs (EVER!!! lol)
    No ponds
    No American fridge freezer
No immersion heaters, underfloor heating, oil filled radiators etc, any and all heating is provided from gas combi boiler, unless you consider the hot air when I open the oven door as heating lol

Other then the wife making the odd brew using the kettle, the biggest draw "should" be the shower and fan assisted electric oven (Modern Neff).

Freezer in garage is a floor standing (not chest freezer) from Beko, about 10 years old.

I also have a 1450w Espresso machine which I use for 2 x coffees a day, every day. but I plugged a power monitor into this to see its average usage over a week and it was pretty low.  I have just ordered another power monitor to test other items in the house.

I also have an electric pressure washer, used for about an hour a month.
I can get you up to 3500-4000kwh realistically so definitely time to turn things off and get a measuring device like the tapo p110 and see what each of your appliances actually use

I would say check this with an energy monitor as a priority.  If the defrost feature is faulty (because it involves a heating element) it can consume a lot more power than it's supposed to.

That undercounter fridge could be a candidate for using a lot of power.

I'm quite taken with the Peacefair PZEM-016 devices. Have got three now to monitor lighting circuit, EV charger, and whole house consumption. Data logged by Home Assistant, and pretty graphs courtesy of Grafana. Not a system that suits everyone... Hugo, Loop, and other apps available if you want something simple (and have a smart meter). Most suppliers also have graphs showing consumption once you've logged in. Quality and detail varies.
