What are we all doing about the Mon BS fiasco?

It's not yet clear if the limit has been raised on the product or only to specific accounts when complaints are made.
For what it's worth, my second response from MBS once I'd pushed back on the initial "12 payments only" response:
I am sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. You are completely correct, on further review the balance has now been increased to £3900 if you'd like to send your payment back in we can apply accordingly.
And I won't be chasing them up for compensation or lost interest because that wasn't the point...

Does that £3900 apply to both of the RS's.dcs34 said:It's not yet clear if the limit has been raised on the product or only to specific accounts when complaints are made.

And I won't be chasing them up for compensation or lost interest because that wasn't the point...I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
Anyone know what happened to the series of posts in this thread yesterday evening about enjoying a tipple?

I think it's very unlikely that they'd apply it one and not the other.

So do I FP £600 to MonBS again, not having had any communication with them on this matter, or is that just going to cost me another 4 working days-worth of lost interest elsewhere and a bunch of hassle?0

I have decided not to bother, because the extra interest that I will earn on the money for 3 weeks, compared to where it is now is only pennies.flaneurs_lobster said:So do I FP £600 to MonBS again, not having had any communication with them on this matter, or is that just going to cost me another 4 working days-worth of lost interest elsewhere and a bunch of hassle?2 -
Yes, this is probably the right answer. Don't want to overburden their back office when they have important maturing accounts to sort out in three weeks (ie mine).Stargunner said:

JamesRobinson48 said:The Mon BS have proved time and time again that they are bumbling amateurs when it comes to RS products. Just one more example: they repeatedly launch an RS with very generous rates, only to be taken by surprise when the demand proves beyond the capacity of their (manually intensive) application handling. But I've consistently generated good ££ interest income from the Mon, so I'm going to cut them some slack here. The last thing I want is for the Mon to revert to local postcode restrictions, to limit their best RS to branch callers only, or to cease offering fancy RS rates. All of which they have sometimes tried in the past.
Excellent attitude, and for the very reasons you state
