Nokia 6.1 on iD Mobile. 4G calling

My wife has a Nokia 6.1 on an iD Mobile SIM. Recently she has complained of being unable to make (or take) calls in certain areas. My own phone (a Pixel 5 using a Lebara SIM) doesn't experience these difficulties. Her phone is not listed by iD Mobile as compatible with 4G calling. iD Mobile runs on the 3 network whose website says they will have turned off 3G by the end of the year. Does she need a new phone, or can she simply get a different SIM?

The Nokia 6.1 is a 4G phone so should be fine, The easiest way to check if the network or phone is the problem would be to swap in your SIM when reception is OK on your Pixel but poor on the Nokia.1

It's slightly complicated with Nokia's of that vintage, because VoLTE was added via a software update and then there were some later patent issues which meant VoLTE was disabled. There is a possibility that the phone doesn't support VoLTE
OP if you go into the settings and make sure VoLTE is available and switched on.

For info. Swapped SIMS as suggested and found that with my Lebara (Vodafone) SIM in place the Nokia worked fine in at least two of the areas which had been "dead" with the iD Mobile (3) SIM.
Off topic.... It wasn't easy getting a PAC from iD Mobile!0
