Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I was counting the interest in next years PSA, but I've just realised that because the interest payments are added quarterly they will count for the current tax year...
I need to recalculate my expected interest from other savings accounts otherwise I'll be over my PSA this year0 -
Being over the PSA is considered a badge of honour in some circles.2

So the best thing for me to stay under my PSA is to stop paying in to this Reg saver until April.
Once I've received the March interest payment, I will pay in 6x £250 to catch-up the missed contributions so it counts for next year.
(the £1500 will stay in my ISA in the mean time)1 -
